On December 2nd 2021, our community had a chance to welcome the representative of Islander to join an AMA to deliver fruitful information about the key features and roadmap of the project.
This AMA was held by CryptoFamily Group – the top crypto community in Vietnam, where investors and traders can obtain the latest news and signals from bot/ admins, as well as discuss and share investment experiences in the crypto space.

PART I: INTRODUCTION OF ISLANDER:
1. First, please briefly introduce your team and some main features of Islander.
Islander: Sure. I'm Nga Levi, CMO of Islander. In Vietnam, most people know us as Spiderum - the social media platform for youth to share opinions/knowledge with around 100.000 users and acquire millions of traffic per month through many other channels such as: website, Youtube, Facebook… Islander is a project that has been cherished and developed by our team for about half a year, after a lot of research, testing and learning from our own journey as a community for 5-6 years. In the upcoming future, the team's goal is to build Islander into a decentralized affiliate marketing and learn-to-earn platform where crypto projects can create quests to incentivize users to learn, market the product and receive project rewards for these activities.
Let's me quickly brief about my team here 😄
- Viet Anh Tran — Founder and CEO
Viet Anh is a founder of Islander, but he is also a founder of Spiderum, a successful publishing platform for Vietnamese youths. Expert in business development and community building. Deep interest in blockchain technology with 3 years of experience working with various projects. A leader whose actions speak for himself. A visionary who always wants to set the trend. Also a boxer if that counts ;))
- Miller — Chief Technology Officer
A tech savvy and a veteran software developer with more than 10 years of experience, 3 of those in competitive programming and 5 in blockchain technology. Proficient in multiple languages, including C++, Java, JavaScript… and the ability to work with vast amounts of frameworks. Miller’s dedication to Agile and Extreme Programming makes him a valuable asset to any team, from startup production to enterprise software.
- Linh Le — Senior Full-stack Developer
15 years of experience in software development, .NET and JavaScript are his specialties. His work ethic is admired among his peers. Not afraid to dive head first into a difficult project, willing to work long hours to get things done. That is why we often see him first in the office with his headphones on, his monitor filled with lines of code. Also the last one to leave the office, his headphones still on, but with a video game on his monitor. A boardgame hoarder too...
- Kevin — Senior Front-end Developer
Kevin’s love for technology and visuals made him pursue a career in front end development. The entirety of Kevin’s working time is spent to ensure the most seamless experience he could achieve for his users. 7 years of experience in software development, proficient in JavaScript and front-end frameworks: ReactJS, VueJS, React-Native. Kevin’s motto is “work smart and work hard”, hence his approaches are always lean, efficient, and effective.
- Minh Luong — Back-end Developer
5 years of experience in software development, with 3 of those in competitive programming. Minh is the youngest developer in the team, yet his contribution is essential to the development of Islander. A keen learner with proficiency in several languages: JavaScript, C, C++, Python… A problem solver who always strives to resolve the highest level cause. Outside of work, he is a movie goer and a skillful drawer
- Truong Tang — Digital Marketing and Product Localization Specialist
With 12 years of experience in the localization industry, Truong has been through many campaigns in a lot of different markets. A veteran digital marketer with a data-oriented skillset, including marketing automation, data analysis, and SEM/SEO management. His goal is to make Islander a global product with users from all over the world.
- Lam Vu — Lead UX/UI Design
Lam has been a key member of Islander since the concept phase of the project. A versatile Designer, has been through many projects, from E-commerce website to Reading Application. His deep understanding of UX/UI principles has brought many projects to life, including Islander
2. How is your project progressing? How did you get started and what achievement has Islander made since then?
Islander: We have been incubated by well-known VCs & investors, as well as cooperated with high potential and quality projects. We have partnered with a lot of projects from Kalao, Avalaunch, YAY Games, Colony, SupraOracles, DareNFT, Faraland…
On the other hand, Islander also partnered with communities/KOLs to not only market the project but also encourage them to set up profiles on Islander and support possible campaigns later on.
Till now, Islander has cooperated with many big communities/influencers such as Crypto Differ, Top 7 ICO, Crypto Rank, Coin68, 8848, Monster, Raccoon, Cubicmeter, PANews, TCVN, CoinF, CryptoFamily, AVStar, Cryptoiz, Moneyking, Avaxholic, Dynasty Korea,…
Some of you may know that we just closed our private funding round with 1.4 million raised. Our testnet event launched on Nov 20 just ended with more than 120.000 participants, attracting more than 80k followers on our social channels 🙂
3. Could you update some hot events of Islander in the upcoming time to attract more new users?
Islander: I think that's enough for the question, but there will be a lot of things await so pls follow us to keep updated 🙂. Beside our Testnet event, in which we will distribute 30,000$ worth of tokens to reward participants, there will be a lot of big upcoming events too.
We will spoil a little bit in this session that now we have a plan to offer IDO/IEO within December. Mainnet might be launched by late December too. Furthermore, when everything works well, we intend to run it in multi-chain soon on BSC, Polygon, Tron...
PART II: PRE-COLLECTED QUESTIONS FROM TWITTER
1.From @SLiomie
If the community is considered the backbone, security is also an extremely important factor. So is your project currently audited or not? How to convince that your security system is safe enough for investors as well as the community against hacker attacks?
Islander: Islander provides a toolkit so that projects can create different tasks, some of which are very difficult to cheat. For example, a partner project can create a set of 100 questions, allowing to randomly choose 10 out of 100 questions with the answers also reversed and only those who answer correctly will receive the reward.
That's just one of the ways for Islander to prevent fraud, I just give an example so that you can easily understand 🙂
In the future, issues related to KYC will also be developed and promoted to ensure that the situation of virtual/non-existent users is minimized.
Besides, we also invite a third party to help us audit the smart contract so that we can ensure there would be no cheating. In the case of projects, we have a strong connection and we are really careful about approving a project to appear on our platform.
By doing so, we can minimize the risk with scammers 🙂

I see that Islander will facilitate knowledge sharing and help in mass adoption of Crypto, but how will you get this? What kind of program is set in Islander that can grab a non-crypto natives to enter the crypto space?
Islander: I believe Islander will attract a lot of attention from crypto projects as community building is really a pain point in the market right now. One of our missions is to create a solid target market and distribution methods through a learn-to-earn and quest-base model.
Besides, when projects join with us on our platform, their communities would grow more effectively with the strong support from our KOLs/Influencers through Affiliate Marketing. They can get attention from a vast of Islander users as well.
For the crypto enthusiasts, they will save a lot of time and effort finding the right projects they would like to support, and even earn rewards by learning/sharing about them.
Meanwhile with the Spiderum platform - a social media platform for youth to share opinions/knowledge with around 100.000 users, it is an advantage for us to get the attention of non-crypto users from Spiderum to become involved with the blockchain system. Thanks to that, I think more non-crypto investors would be attracted to join us as well 😄

Islander gives a lot of rewards for holders. Are there certain conditions so that holders can get rewards? And do you still get profit if you give a lot of rewards to investors? Can we talk more about Islander tokenomics and when will the first IDO be available?
Islander: We would love to share the benefits with our retail investors and token holder, of course 🙂 There will be staking program and NFT offering, boosting the liquidity of ISA while keeping the controlled amount of ISA in the market to benefit our supporters.
We are the community builder in our core, so basically we believe that what benefit users most is the things that should be done.
But of course Islander project will also generate a lot of benefits from that 🙂 Our revenue model includes:
- Platform fee: % from the amount of rewards distributed by partners to the community; affiliate link minting fee; users can also pay to do more tasks and earn more money…
- Fees for marketing support services for partner projects: services can include customizing island images (add logo, mascot); Build a data-driven marketing plan, connect with communities/influencers to support the project...
-> We will be profitable with such a lot of revenue model

I am a content creator, I am very interested in islanders and want to be part of the platform. In addition to receiving rewards from staking, platforms, do content creators or influencers get any other benefits? Do you plan to give them an incentive for them like youtube or google?
Islander: For influencers, they introduce the project to their own followers, thus attracting more investors to the project, and in return, they receive a commission with the project’s tokens. But Islander is not meant exclusively for crypto projects, its model can also be applied to content publishing.
We call content creators “Merchants” in Islander, and instead of giving out “bounties”, they can use cryptocurrencies (including ISA) to create NFT tickets in the form of different items (like articles). Users are then able to buy these items to get access to exclusive content created by Merchants. We will also support the content creators with our media channels of course 🙂

Backers, partners, and advisors are very important factors affecting the reputation and success of any project. Can you name who are the most influential partners on Islander so far? What plans do you have to expand the partnership in the upcoming time?
Islander: We have been incubated by Spark Capital, one of the top Venture Capital for blockchain projects, and Avatar — the Avalanche Asia eco-fund. After seeing that we have the right minds, the right approach, the right solution for the problem, other VCs keep coming to us, and we think a few of these names will catch your attention: Avatar, Spark, Muhabbit, Kyros, ZBS, Maven, Basics, VBC…
We also cooperated with high potential and quality projects: Currently, Islander has been cooperating with Kalao, YAY Games, Colony, SupraOracles, DareNFT, Faraland… and will continue to promote activities with other projects in the future.

1.Do you have a buyback and burning features to increase attraction for investors and any incentivization reward for long term holders?
Islander:
-> Sure. We have the plan gradually burns the token to reduce the supply. The philosophy of Islander is as straightforward as that, which makes the demand for ISA increase over time, with the increase of usage on the platform: Projects and Crypto Influencers will need ISA to create their campaigns. Crypto Enthusiasts will earn the ISA for supporting them. There will be a lot of activities and token use cases
We also have the incentive program for the staking/long term holding users 🙂
2. Can you list 1-3 killer features of this project that makes it ahead of its competitors? What is the competitive advantage your project has that you feel most confident about?
Islander:
-> Currently projects may be getting used to using solutions like Gleam for manual airdrops, or manual mass airdrops like with Multisender.app. Either way, project growth will be very slow, wasteful, and many followers even just act as bounty hunters, day after day hunting for the rewards of projects.
With Islander, Projects can:
- Have full control over the tasks/requests for the winners, which in this case could be: join telegram, follow Twitter, answer the learn to earn questionnaire, and many more.
- Automatically distribute rewards when users meet the conditions, set a budget according to each campaign
- Collaborate with Influencers through Affiliate Marketing activities
- Gamification system
I think that's the core features to make Islander stand out 🙂
3. Many projects promise magic but in the short / long time of release never publish any work product or prove any income. Is your project like this? If not, can you tell us what makes your project different from the project?
Islander: Of course not 🙂 We are doing real things 🙂
We have a concrete plan for the business plan and timeline attached with that. Within December we will announce our IDO/IEO event as long as our mainnet launching as well. In the near future we will also expand to other ecosystem beside Avalanche, like BSC, Tron…
4. IS your platform suitable for crypto beginners? Or does it only limited for professional users ? IS your platform suitable for crypto beginners? Or does it only limited for professional users ?
Islander: I think Islander is absolutely a solution for crypto enthusiasts, including the beginners 🙂 If you are new to crypto, you would find it difficult to do research on the projects and hardly check whether it's a good project or scammers. With Islander, you can easily find the information of crypto projects, support whichever projects you believe (with our filter), and earn rewards by learning about them 🙂 That's called learn to earn paradigm 🙂

💥Southeast Asia is a very vibrant market and many project developed here so with your project what do you think about Southeast Asia and do you have any plan to develop here? Because, Southeast Asia is prfect place in crypto......??
